HIP HIP HIP

For many years, Fashion has brought forth change in a womans look, shape and self being. Confidence has been taken and brought back in the years. We as silent Fashionistas have taken a stand in Fashion and created our own looks and our own way of expressing ourselves through our clothing. GOOD JOB PEOPLE, thats HIP.
UNKNOWN GLAMOUR...
UNKNOWN GLAMOUR...

Glamorous film clips, photographs, and dancers' vivid recollections convey a portrait of veteran Philadelphia women hoofers prominent during the golden age of swing and rhythm tap (1930s-1940s). This exhibition focuses on women who "came up" from the 1920s through the present. Restricted to few roles, unnamed in credits, these African American women dancers have remained anonymous within and outside of the entertainment industry and sometimes even in the communities in which they reside.
Egypt
Egypt

For many centuries, people have assumed the way the Egyptians lived, worshiped and dressed. For centuries, people have assumed they knew the way of the Egyptians heart and reason for carrying there lives in secret and writing using paintings in 3d when there was no such thing.
Regardless of what you or I may believe, the Egyptian woman and man set style in many high levels, that suddenly fainted then after a very long period of time, returned to us. From pleating, colors, shear, head pieces, jewelry, hair extensions, fragrances and many other fabulous ideas, the Egyptian way of life/style is still over looked but yet acknowledged.
Fashion Restrictions
Fashion Restrictions
Why isn't Fashion from the inside out, instead of the outside pretending to reflect the end side. Why isn't self expression more popular than hidden lives and covered emotions. Can the new Fashion trend be you? Can the new Fashion color be your favorite color? Why do we need people to guide us and instruct us on what is in and what is not...I mean if you still like rocking leggings, what the hell is the big deal? You feel good in it! You feel fabulous. How come self expression feels so chained...Have you broken that chain?
I DARE YOU!!!
I DARE YOU!!!

Who is more tastier than a lollipop on an autumn day, yes boo JOSEPHINE BAKER!!! In the world there are many Josephine Bakers stomping the streets of New York, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta. This is called courage, having courage to go against the norm and live a way that is taboo to the rest of the world. So ladies put on your sexiest clothing and dare to be you, dare to be seen, dare to be Josephine Baker!
Recession Fashion Emotions!
Recession Fashion Emotions!

Now that the recession has come to play, when you see a Fabulous Chanel wearing, GUCCI rocking, Louis Vuitton sporting person walking by, what do you feel? Have we turned on the things we once adored, saved our life hard savings for to own and wear and taped pictures of it on our walls saying "imma have that one day!" Have we turned on things that made us admire ones lifestyle and now feel as if they are wasting there money just like we once have done?
Where R the Models?
Where R the Models?
Models have been pushed to the inside spreads instead of where they belong on the front covers, in poses that we can't seem to master as good as they do. Why is that? Why are there so many actresses gracing the front covers of BAZAAR, VOGUE, and many more instead of the tall, elegant women that walk the runway in 7" heels, in tight fitting garments and many sleepless nights, who present garments instead of themselves? WHY?
What Do You Think?
What Do You Think?
WHAT MAKES THIS WOMAN SEXY? Is it the way she looks? Her hair, the way she is carefully leaning to the side, with her hand cautiously curved in barely touching the wall? Or is it the lingerie and alcohol in her cup, that tells the world she is a bad mutha-SHUT YOUR MOUTH-...What is it? In common american beauty, is she beautiful? If you saw her in the street, would you really feel as if she was so gorgeous or do you think she is beautiful because that same common american beauty told you she was?

WHO WILL YOU BE WEARING?
Mothers Day
Mothers Day

Mothers Day is coming and even though I write mainly about Fashion, styles of today, and so on, I wont today. I want to let all the mothers know, regardless if they are the fashion guru type of mom or the stay at home mom that runs behind the kids in her sweats and t-shirt, you are fashion. You are the center of glamour and the beauty of whats hot. Dress your best and strut on, because you are power, you are FABULOUS. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
What is Glamour Fashion?
What is Glamour Fashion?

What is Glamour Fashion? Is it Fashion that only existed in the year of the 50's to the late 60's? Or is it just more than perfectly tailored garments, formed fitting bodices, showing just enough but not too much? What is Glamour Fashion?
Fashion is...
Fashion is...
What is Fashion, what is style? Is it only what the outside has to show, or is it also within. When a person has love for themselves and confidence in who they are, you can tell. From the way they walk, to the way they talk, an idol without trying to be one. So regardless of what fashion status you are in, before you strut in your new Jimmy Choo heels, say to yourself in the mirror...HELLO MY NAME IS BEAUTIFUL...then you are ready to go Ms. Fashionista showing that fashion is way more than the outside, you have to have the whole package.

Hes known as "Lord of the Pants" and for good reason. Designer Alvin Valley makes pants fashion that get rave reviews from women of every size who love their "new" curve.
In fact, his pants are such a hit that hes having his trouser pattern patented as the Wonderbutt. "he understands that real women do have a butt and boobs," says movie queen Kate Winslet, who has asked him to create an entire post-pregnancy wardrobe for her.
Inspired by the figure of supermodel Naomi Campbell, he started experimenting with different patterns until he hit on the one that has been dubbed the Wonderbutt. The pants have darts around the buttocks to control them and push excess skin up.
"It minimizes the area toward one point so its small, narrow and perky," says the designer. Even women who prefer looser-fitting clothes are impressed with how they look in these pants.
Theyll be in department stores soon, but cheap, theyre not. Price tags range from $375 to $800. hey, plastic surgery costs a lot more!

The more effort you put into dressing the part, the higher your chances of getting the job. This is one of the most fundamental and basic rules of impressing during an interview. This may be an old rule but even in this modern age, dressing to impress continues to play a major role in helping interviewers select the right candidate. When you put a lot of effort into your clothing for the interview, it tells the interviewer that the job is important to you or that you are serious about getting the job. While you might impress your interviewer with your attitude and guts by turning up in shorts, sneakers and t-shirt, you probably will not get the job. At the first point of introduction, you would have been mentally sized up and then struck off the list of potential candidates!
Sadly, even in this modern era, it is better to err on the side of being conventional and conservative rather than trying to dress according to the work that you are required to do. Stick to conventional rules and you cannot go very far off the mark.
Right now, you are probably thinking to yourself - "How do I dress to impress my potential employer during an interview and STILL keep to conventional rules?" It's hard to impress with your dressing when you look just like everyone else.
That is not entirely true though. You see, for women, keep to solid colors (preferably a suit), well coordinated blouse, corporate-looking shoes (sandals are out of the question), tone down on the jewelry, and groom your hair neatly - you will not go far wrong. As long as you do not go overboard with the makeup, wear too much perfume, or have unruly hair, you will be quite safe.
Dressing for an interview does not mean that you have to shock your interviewers, try to keep things relatively simple, and combine your proper dressing with proper etiquette, attitude and qualification; there is little doubt that your potential employer will be impressed!
This does not mean that men do not have to dress to impress the interviewer. In fact, it has been shown that interviewers can be stricter and more stringent on men's dress code during an interview. One small mistake and the first impression may be ruined, and we all know that the first impression is very hard to reverse - if not impossible.
As you can see, what you decide to wear to your job interview continues to be one of the biggest influencing factors that determine if you are ultimately successful or otherwise. If you do not want to be struck off the list the moment you walk into the interview room, keep to the norm and impress them with the effort you've put in to look right for the part.

In recent years, shoppers made a few big investments or headed to stores like Target or H&M. Sales or womens clothing dropped 6.6 percent last year; midlevel apparel departments in stores took the biggest hit. Suddenly, the industry is waking up to the fact that women who may not want to pay a lot of style, said David Wolfe, a consultant to national retailers. Designers want to roll out the welcome mat at stores like Bloomingdales and Nordstrom with styles that are sleek and shophisticated, while keeping prices down.
